Women’s sustainable jeans

At Ecoalf we believe that timeless design is the key to sustainability. Our women’s denim collection was created to offer garments that fit perfectly and that also respect the environment. It’s not just about creating jeans, but also about changing the way we dress by choosing materials that care for the planet and reduce environmental impact

Our whole range is made from a blend of 65% regenerative cotton and 35% recycled cotton. By avoiding synthetic fibres, we achieve an authentic, breathable fabric that recaptures the spirit of original denim and ensures exceptional durability.

Why choose sustainable denim?

Choosing jeans responsibly makes a real difference to the consumption of natural resources. A conventional pair of jeans requires a huge amount of water and harmful chemicals. However, the garments in the Denim for the Planet collection are designed to maximise water savings.

  • Water savings: Each pair of jeans saves up to 5,434 litres of water, which is equivalent to what you drink in over 7 years.

  • 100% recyclable: As they are mono-material garments and don’t contain elastane or polyester, they can be fully recycled at the end of their life cycle.

  • No metal waste: We have replaced traditional rivets with details that make recycling easier, thereby closing the product’s life cycle.

What type of denim clothing can you find at Ecoalf?

Our selection offers shapes that adapt to different styles while always maintaining a clean and functional aesthetic.

Wide-leg and straight-fit jeans

From wide styles that provide fluidity and movement, to classic straight cuts that never go out of fashion. As they are 100% mono-material garments with no synthetic fibres, the fabric keeps its original structure wash after wash, preventing the garment from losing its shape with use.

Denim shirts

Versatility is essential within a conscientious wardrobe. Our overshirts are designed to work as the perfect outer layer during mid-season months. They are durable, soft-to-the-touch pieces in neutral tones that are easy to combine with any style.

Finishes that protect the oceans

To achieve the different shades in our collection we use Smart-Indigo technology, which replaces toxic chemicals with electricity. Our finishing processes also use laser and ozone techniques which eliminate the use of pumice stones.  This not only protects marine ecosystems from polluting discharges, but also ensures a more ethical and safe manufacturing process.

How to combine your Ecoalf denim

The neutral tones and quality of our denim garments enable you to create balanced looks for any occasion. You can wear your jeans with one of our organic cotton  shirts or t-shirts for a minimalist style, or add a lightweight sweatshirt on cooler days.

If you’re looking for a complete and cohesive outfit, combine them with our trainers with recycled rubber soles. It’s opting for quality and respect for the planet in every layer of your outfit.

Frequently asked questions about women’s denim

What does a mono-material garment mean?

It means that the garment is made from a single type of fibre (in this case, cotton). This is crucial for sustainability, as it allows the garment to be easily recycled and prevents it from ending up in landfill.

How should I wash my denim to keep it in good condition?

To look after the fibres and colour, we recommend that you always wash your jeans inside out and in cold water. Avoid tumble drying and wash only when necessary. That way, you will lengthen the life of the garment and you will continue to save water at home.

Is it a comfortable fabric for everyday wear?

Yes. Regenerative and recycled cotton provides exceptional breathability and softness. The cut is designed to provide freedom of movement and natural comfort from first wear.

How much water do I really save by choosing this denim?

The difference is considerable. While a conventional pair of jeans consumes around 6,186 litres of water, each pair from our Denim for the Planet range saves 5,434 litres. This means that you will be reducing water consumption by almost 90%, which is equivalent to what an average person drinks in over 7 years.
